I have once again been remiss in my bloggerly duties. Much has kept me away from both my computer and my home these past days...or Fortnight, as it turns out. Hah.   I am midweek through my vacation and today is designated as my official "Must-clean-house-from-top-to-bottom-or-die-trying" day. Its a 50/50 bet on whether I survive at this point... BUT... my bathroom looks amazing hah!  Dishes are a'soakin, Laundry is being laundered, Bathroom is so spotless I may just pee in the kitchen sink from now on, haha.. Im kidding ... really.   Between going to the lake, off roading in Portage La Prairie every sunday, and running around looking for a beater to buy every day after work, I almost forgot what my apartment looked like.... but its ok, alot of my time has been spent with friends in from out of town as well, and its always awesome to catch up.  Just busy...  So The lads found me an old truck that we can take off roading, and we will test her 'sea legs' on...

It was so bad (In my mind) that even as I was wrapping up Saturday and gearing up for a fun filled weekend adventure, my thoughts rose in despair to the gaping maw, the black pit of files waiting for me back at the office.  They were waiting.. calling, quietly... begging, nay, DEMANDING my attention.! *sigh* Kind of ruined my weekend to be honest.  You ever leave a school project to the absolute last minute in school? You know its due, its there, sitting like a rock in the centre of your calm pool of peace and non-working, the psyche's happy place... You dread doing it, you loathe going in after the weekend, and the guilt!!!   That was me this weekend, except my problem couldnt be fixed over the weekend with some hard studying. My sister posted something on my facebook wall that just made me so very proud and happy....   Ill repost what she sent to me... Hey my kids proud that he smells like you!!! GROSS!!! "Hey mom smell my shirt" Eww smells like uncle Ry Ya isn't that cool I smell like my uncle! Jordan your sick!!! Lol That was our conversation!!!! Ugh     There really isn't much to be proud of on the face of it, I know. But I love that kid like crazy, and he is growing up so fast...it's nice to know that he still looks up to me (For now, he's growing like a weed), and is even happy to 'stink like ole uncle Ry!'     I have no issue with this... besides... I uhh... smell like roses. errr.. yeah... HEY LOOK.... SHINY!!!    

Ugh... today was a bruiser of a day, but only because meetings backed me up and the workload was impressively stacked against me. Having said that, I DID put a solid dent in the leaning tower of files, and learning how to be more organized is coming along. Its not a pretty bell curve, but its what I've got to work with, so work with it I will.   Nevermind all the good news floating around today!! Really cant start a day better than with very exciting and positive news from someone close to me! Today I was so very proud!   Im writing this as I start to fade. The day was a really long one.  9 am to 630, no lunch break, just straight work, no food, nothing. Powering through.  Met up with a very old friend *Whispering* I have known her for 30 years?!? My life! Craaaaazy!   Anyway, we did coffee in the mall and caught up, was nice. But my day really ended when I got home at 10 pm. hah...what a day.   A gooder though... by far an absolutely great day.... ...

So, its game #2 for the Finals, Vancouver is favored to win, Canada has been 18 years Sans Stanley Cup, and things are a'changin!    The Jets are BACK, BABY!! I just can't properly express my joy, the CUP is almost back... FINALLY! As an awesome Scotia Bank commercial put it... "Its no longer just winning the cup, now its a rescue mission!"  Canada won in the Olympics, we will win this Cup, and the Jets are back... annnnnd on a personal note, of all my friends and coworkers who tried their damndest to get season tickets for the Jets... only Team Awesome got a set! I am a proud coowner of 2 seats in the nose bleed section, along with 4 other people lol... its crazy but it worked, by fluke, luck or whatever.. we got through where no one else I know could.  I can think of over twenty people now who tried and failed... I feel pretty terrible for them, but honestly... I laid in bed and dreamed about what my first game will look like... the excitement, the passion, the e...

I know I haven't been around much lately, and I may not be around much going forward...for now anyway... BUT!!! The Jets are back, and this logo....AMAZING.. If (We Better) we keep the Jets name, this really should be our logo. The Avro Arrow, the maple leaf, the nod to the old RAF circle from our British history... genius, really. I like it.. its a keeper... stand in awe people!!!
