wow!

Ugh... today was a bruiser of a day, but only because meetings backed me up and the workload was impressively stacked against me. Having said that, I DID put a solid dent in the leaning tower of files, and learning how to be more organized is coming along. Its not a pretty bell curve, but its what I've got to work with, so work with it I will.
  Nevermind all the good news floating around today!! Really cant start a day better than with very exciting and positive news from someone close to me! Today I was so very proud!

  Im writing this as I start to fade. The day was a really long one.  9 am to 630, no lunch break, just straight work, no food, nothing. Powering through.  Met up with a very old friend *Whispering* I have known her for 30 years?!? My life! Craaaaazy!
  Anyway, we did coffee in the mall and caught up, was nice. But my day really ended when I got home at 10 pm. hah...what a day.

  A gooder though... by far an absolutely great day.... Lots of good news for people close to me, hard to see things in anything but a hopeful and heartfelt happiness..
 wow, listen to me gush hahaha.. MUST be tired!

  I am listening to my friends band, Alphakill as I write this out... thrasher metal band, and they rock it pretty hard, and its the only airbag keeping me from slamming into 'the wall' at this point....
  Oh, Im such a geek that I installed an NHL game and it allows you to make a team, so I made the winnipeg jets using the Atlanta Thrashers roster, circa 2008. hahahahah.. was fun, I started the playoffs...in case I get bored with alllll this free time I seem to have.  

  Lots of stuff going on in my world as well, and none of it bad, for a change.... Im really stoked about things.  Amazing what a little 'can do' attitude and some effort...and a little luck... can get you in life. 
....maybe even a date! Or non-date? Meet and greet?  Meh... call it what you will, Im still going to see the Titanic exhibit before they leave next week... I hear many good things.

 So, amidst all these crazy changes in the Peg City, with this heady scent of hope and newness all through out the ole city, it seems some of that headiness has attached itself to my own life, and I plan on riding it all the to the end... things are good. And hey... 2 weeks till vaycay, giddy up!

Blogwork is Homework is Good Work

 Hello, Gentle Reader,    This blog has always been my way of sharpening my writing chops, or shaking off the rust of my laziness and trying to find my 'voice', as it were, online.  I know, Gentle Reader, that you often do not give feedback, and thats ok.  This space isn't meant as an ego-reach and any and all feedback regarding my posts is appreciated, often more than you might guess, but thats not why I write here.     Most of my drive and reasoning is the simple act of it.  Writing is healthy for the soul and great practice more than anything else, the more practice you put in, the better at it you get... or at least that's what I keep incessantly telling myself, forever hopeful that I am in fact getting 'better' as a writer, whatever that actually means.  I suppose my ability to project my voice comes down to you, Gentle Reader.  I hope you hear me and I am able to project the visuals and a sense of where I am, figuratively as w...

Fuck this place, I’m out…

I grew up poor.  Really poor. To steal a line from Chris Rock, we grew up so poor we couldn’t afford the O R at the end of the word, we were just PO. hahaha. Still accurate. But my childhood poverty isn’t the point of this post. I mention it because growing up I had to watch all my friends going on family vacations to Disneyland and the Phillipines and Mexico and wherever their families were in the world while I roamed my asphalt jungle like a half wild animal in a cage.   I always vowed that I would see the world someday.
