And Now For Something Completely Different
I admit that last weeks post was hard to read. I thank everyone for the overwhelming support and love considering what you’d just read. I’m sad you had to go through that but also encouraged by your courage. Not an easy read.
Not an easy writing. I’ve been processing through it this week and it’s been healthy and positive overall. Meaghan has been incredible in her patience and support and listening ear on the long drives, while I babbled through my process. Everyone’s comments, texts, calls, BBQ and beer support.. I didn’t think it could get better for me but now and then the world surprises you.
Not like 2020 dumpster fire kind of surprise. Not this time. This was and is a good one.
So!! My D&D nerd group (I love you pack of fools) is getting together tonight and I’m prepping buuuuuut... these two idiots refuse to leave me alone haha. Amazing that a year ago both of these rescues (Moxie dog and Tom the Cat) who were street animals and abused, didn’t much like eachother.
Mox has attacked and killed cats in the past and Tom will fight Moxie even tho he is missing most of his teeth... but lately their usual ‘Mean Girls’ style of passive warfare has calmed a little bit. Mox still shoves the cat off the couch (that literally just happened) and the cat flaunts his time rolling around in my lap while intentionally staring at Moxie, who always loses it a little at sharing the love.
Ahhhh life in my house ... is weird. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
