Last day of August...

...and it's raining. Aside from this fairly abysmal summer weather, it's been a pretty amazing few months for me and I can only hope the same for you, gentle reader.
Ask me last year how I would envision my life just one year later and i wouldn't have even guessed that things would go the way they have, all on the positive side of the balance sheet no less.
I'm a week home from yet another amazing trip to see my family on the East Coast, this time with The Girl along for the ride, hands firmly clasped and eyes wide open.  We had ourselves an adventurous four days and learned a lot about one another that only travelling and driving for many hours together can reveal. All told, it was fantastic. I'll post a few choice pictures.
No longer a banker, and never again. My time in financials is well and truly over and to be honest and fair to myself as well as my loyal fans... Banking is a soul sucking experience that forces one to compromise on their morals at every turn.  I'm happier now than I have been in a very long time. The Girl, the job, the mindset, the ability to see what is wrong and make changes for the better, and ultimately... Be honest with myself about what I want and need to be happy again.
So far so good, is all I can tell you. I enjoy today and think about tomorrow, the rest will resolve itself.
Sorry, no massively funny posts today, just a blog update. Sincere and to the point.
I've missed writing. Having to do it for course admission into crecomm at red river was stressful. I was accepted but declined for financial reasons. Maybe another year, was nice to know they wanted me what with all the competition.

Pictures...
The Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, NS.

The breathtaking views that the trail offers up, almost nonchalantly, really make you stop and soak in the blessings of our country.
This lighthouse at the top of a hill in Neil's Harbour is beside a little shanty sea food place with the freshest and tastiest seafood you can get... If that's your thing.
The Girl and I at Peggy's Cove.  So beautiful and magical... The cove was ok too, I suppose.
A moose decided he didn't like us and charged at our car before getting bored.
Sixty beats per second, the hummingbirds wings, and The Guys heart when his girl is around.
(It's sappy, deal with it)
Yeah, I'm classy like that...
Random waterfalls by the roadside. The Cabot Trail is like being in another world. A magical and amazing place...
Citadel Hill in Halifax.  Steeped in history and imposing it's dominance over the harbour.

... If the chance should arise to visit the coast, just go. No excuses or delays.
Enjoy...
