I had to make a choice that was not mine, I had to say goodbye for the last time...

  Ain't that the truth.
 Opened up the ole Karaoke routines, added a couple of songs to the very small repertoire.  Machine Head, by Bush; Creep, by Radiohead, Black by Pearl Jam... and always piece of shit car, just because its funny.
  You don't realize how nervous you really are until you stand up in front of a group of drunken strangers and croak out the lyrics to a song that you really thought you knew better than you did.
  Did ok though, even had the brother up there for a song.  Sister is next... but I wont hold my breath.

  Was a fun weekend, almost over though.... still have coffee on deck, and a movie date!!!  
  Karate Kid with the nephew and niece, and brother.  Im sure there will be some bodily injuries today as someone inevitably tries to recreate a scene from the movie.

  I think I can always tell when Im not in writing mode, as these posts seem so dry and stacatto in delivery. Ah well, I suppose it will happen with this much on my mind.
  Still no place to move to, no vehicle, no set plans on just about anything.  It's pretty impressive how one can learn to live with such chaos.  
  Should calm down in a couple of weeks.  Hope I have internet to update ya'll with .. hah!

  As of last night, it became official and out there, that I am off the market. No dating, no flings, no long term committed relationships... nada. 
  It became official because I had to let someone down and tell them where I was at... I always know its for real when that happens.
  For the best, time for me to focus on a future I'm trying to build...with no car, no place to live, a job thats too far away, and nothing but a whole bunch of question marks in my future. Nice.

One day at a time..... It's all we are given to deal with....

....Oddly enough, I really miss Martial Arts lately.  :-/

Blogwork is Homework is Good Work

 Hello, Gentle Reader,    This blog has always been my way of sharpening my writing chops, or shaking off the rust of my laziness and trying to find my 'voice', as it were, online.  I know, Gentle Reader, that you often do not give feedback, and thats ok.  This space isn't meant as an ego-reach and any and all feedback regarding my posts is appreciated, often more than you might guess, but thats not why I write here.     Most of my drive and reasoning is the simple act of it.  Writing is healthy for the soul and great practice more than anything else, the more practice you put in, the better at it you get... or at least that's what I keep incessantly telling myself, forever hopeful that I am in fact getting 'better' as a writer, whatever that actually means.  I suppose my ability to project my voice comes down to you, Gentle Reader.  I hope you hear me and I am able to project the visuals and a sense of where I am, figuratively as w...

Fuck this place, I’m out…

I grew up poor.  Really poor. To steal a line from Chris Rock, we grew up so poor we couldn’t afford the O R at the end of the word, we were just PO. hahaha. Still accurate. But my childhood poverty isn’t the point of this post. I mention it because growing up I had to watch all my friends going on family vacations to Disneyland and the Phillipines and Mexico and wherever their families were in the world while I roamed my asphalt jungle like a half wild animal in a cage.   I always vowed that I would see the world someday.
