Relationships?

The past few days have had me pre-occupied with helping out a friend who is going through a bad break up. As a guy, my support and advice can only go so far... but even so.. drowning out the memories and the hurt heart goes a long way towards recovery (At least in my opinion). So, Lots of hanging out and maybe drinking and just trying to have some good times to ease the sting away..
You know.. makes sense right? I won't get into the cut scene of visiting the ex with my friend and how the ex's new ...'friend' called two carloads of buddies to come tool us up and the ensuing ugliness...
This week has been full of stories. Going to work to get fired and coming out with a raise, meeting some new people that remind me strikingly of two toy poodles with A.D.D. who tell the worst stories I have ever heard in my life, drinking till morning, crazy boob grabs! Man... it's been a wild one.. and me without the camera these past two days!
Thats it! The camera comes with me.... hell I should bring the video camera too. Although I have this alarming tendency to say Paris Hiltons name every single time I start recording.. annoying and uncanny.

Anyway... It's good to have my friend 'back' but I feel bad for him. YET..... on the other hand.. I need him around for my own bruised and flagging emotional wreckage. This promises to be an interesting winter.

Right now Poets by the Hip is playing... I really do love this band.. you know.. prior to 2002 anyway...

Ok. meandering verbalese is done. Shower and errands beckon! Beowulf tonight!

I don't even know what they're called, so the hunt for one will be interesting.

You just have high demands in regards to relationships. If you can get over that, then you'd be fine.

I know what you're going to say next: "Asking someone to tell the truth isn't a high demand". I agree, but unfortunately, it's just not that simple.

And, no I don't have the answer to everything. I know you think I do, but I don't. haha I'm totally making myself laugh right now.

Blogwork is Homework is Good Work

 Hello, Gentle Reader,    This blog has always been my way of sharpening my writing chops, or shaking off the rust of my laziness and trying to find my 'voice', as it were, online.  I know, Gentle Reader, that you often do not give feedback, and thats ok.  This space isn't meant as an ego-reach and any and all feedback regarding my posts is appreciated, often more than you might guess, but thats not why I write here.     Most of my drive and reasoning is the simple act of it.  Writing is healthy for the soul and great practice more than anything else, the more practice you put in, the better at it you get... or at least that's what I keep incessantly telling myself, forever hopeful that I am in fact getting 'better' as a writer, whatever that actually means.  I suppose my ability to project my voice comes down to you, Gentle Reader.  I hope you hear me and I am able to project the visuals and a sense of where I am, figuratively as w...

Fuck this place, I’m out…

I grew up poor.  Really poor. To steal a line from Chris Rock, we grew up so poor we couldn’t afford the O R at the end of the word, we were just PO. hahaha. Still accurate. But my childhood poverty isn’t the point of this post.
