Remembrance

This one is for the soldiers. I served. I did my duty as a Canadian Infantryman. I didn't do anything amazing or special. I simply served. I won't ever be called a hero, but I will always salute, honour, respect, and support the ones I do call a hero. My older brother served in the Infantry as well as me, and he is a hero, in my humble opinion. Several tours, medals and all the damage that goes with those singularly unique distinctions are the badges of honour that he never really shows people or talks much about. He's my brother, and we served. I understand and respect it. Doesn't mean it's ignored, or forgotten... We remember the fallen. The young men and women who lived and died through out Canada's battles over the past century. Wars, battles, engagements 'policing actions' that made Canada who she is.
